The Store is Coming To Life!

As many of you may have already noticed, I have changed the name of my blog, from Pink Paintbrush, to Pink In Mind. I opened up a new etsy shop, Pink In Mind, and pretty much just started over! Why did I do this? I was very, well, bored with Pink Paintbrush. I didn't have anything in my shop that I painted, and I just felt photo quality was poor. So I created Pink In Mind, wanting to start fresh. Pink Paintbrush is still open, but I am letting the items expire, until they are all gone.

At Pink In Mind you will find totes and cute rings that are fun to use and wear. The young at heart will find these items creative, cute, and enjoyable. Most of the items in my shop include a "touch of pink," whether it's a whole purse, or a little flower! You will find messenger bags, clutch purses, iPod cases, button rings, necklaces, and more, all made with the best materials, and fine craftsmanship!

There are new photos and new items all designed with care! I add an item a day, so make sure you check it out! So keep an eye out for all of these items coming up this month!

These Pink Bottle Cap Magnets are perfect for a little back to school gift! They come in various colors. A three pack is only $3.00!

This is a Clutch Purse made from Thin Denim! It is classy and fashionable! The purse is $10.00.

This is a Polka Dot Flower Headband! It fits girls from the pre-teen age, to any adult! It is only $7.00!

This is Maggie--my newest model! She is wearing a beach glass bottle necklace! The necklace is filled with small pieces of beach glass. You can take a part of the beach everywhere you go, for only $10.00!

This is one of my favorite items, a Messenger Bag with Dress Forms on it! It is perfect for your favorite girl! My Messenger Bags cost $15.00.

You've seen Capri-Sun Purses, but have you ever seen a capri sun pouch? Use this pouch as a wallet, coin purse, business card holder, or even a gift card holder! It is 100% green and could be yours for $5.00!

Also, be sure to check out this blog in the next couple weeks, because I will be having a give-away!!

A New Summer Project!

If you haven't noticed, I LOVE the color pink. Everything I have is PINK. A pink room, pink iPod, pink bedspread, etc. I love to accent everything in my room, with a shade of pink. I had this really cute fluffy, hot pink rug that looked adorable in my room. The problem was, it shed. EVERYWHERE. It got in my hair, my clothes, my carpet, and every other place you could imagine. It was bad.

You may have seen the circle rug, my mom Maiden Jane, has made. It was made out of old t-shirts and woven with a hula-hoop.

I really liked the idea, but thought a circle rug would not work for me. So I brainstormed, and thought some way I could make a big, long rectangular loom. My dad put together a loom, using PVC pipes, and I was all set to make the rug! I bought 50 cent pink shirts from Pat-Catans and started weaving.

I ran into a problem right away. Although I wasn't pulling that tight, the rug sides still pulled in.

So we brainstormed again and we decided to avoid that problem, we can simply weave the sides of the loom in...and when we are done, just pull the side pipes out. As I was weaving, I wasn't sure if it really was going to work, but after I finished, it turned out great!

It is very comfortable, fun, and looks great in my pink room! It only took me around 7 hours and was fun to do while I was watching T.V.

New Messenger Bags!

I been very bored the pass few months with my ETSY shop lately. The same-old-same-old clutch purses and ipod cases. It all just bored me. So I thought--I need to design something new! After a few designs, I came up with a messenger bag! They are a perfect size to throw in your keys, a book, wallet, etc! They come with an inside pocket, and a silver snap, enclosing the purse perfectly. So check them out!

Hellloooooooooooooooo Blog World!

Hey Everybody! Hmm...I don't even know where to start! Well first off, my name is Annie and I am a 15-year-old girl aspiring to be a fashion designer. I absolutely LOVE to sew! I've been sewing for quite some time now, and I hope to major in it someday! My mom taught me to sew and I have been doing it ever since! I've attempted to take some classes in school, but I have never actually taken a sewing class. I have learned over time that to sew you need PATIENCE and CONFIDENCE...because you will make mistakes and get very frustrated. If there's one thing I've learned, it is to never give up! I've wanted to throw in the towel so many times and just give up, but my mom always lead me back to sewing.

I have an Etsy shop, where I sell some things for teens! Check them out!

New Designs. New Generation. Why this name? And what does it mean? There are new, young people out there that are aspiring designers, just like me, creating every day. Every design is different, fun and may inspire others to create.

Throughout this blog, I hope to inspire, teach, and help others, especially teens. So keep an eye out for posts and have a great day!

Some Things About Me:

I guess you can say I have been "published" in Vogue Pattern's Magazine

The dress I made for Easter...turned out cute..HORRIBLE to make!
